![]() The RDP protocol doesn't require a lot of bandwidth. Video viewing and editing via rdp would also be terrible, but there is no reason to do that on pc anyway. Sound streaming may be glitchy, so for music production I wouldn't use it. My windows machine I use for some 3d modeling in 3ds max and it works pretty well via rdp, not as good as using actual pc of course. The only problem that I have with mac rdp client - I use two languages for input, and if current input is not english, shortcuts like Ctrl C, Ctrl V and such do not work, and I have to disconnect, switch input, and connect again, which is annoying, when you constantly switching between servers and also chatting with someone. You may also try to run this in window instead of fullscreen, to further improve performance. ![]() ![]() Or you may need both 32 bit color and retina sharpness - you may do that as well, in cost of responsiveness. You may also stuck with default windows scaling and avoid using retina hidpi - this will make image a bit less sharp, but will improve responsiveness quite a lot. Depending on latency and bandwidth, you can tweak some settings, for example you may not need 32 bit color so you switch to 16. While RDP client on windows itself isn't the most responsive or well designed app, mac os version is much better, works faster, has better way to organize your remote servers in folders in nice gui etc. I'm using RDP on daily basis, as I also need my remote windows pc, and also like 10+ linux servers with desktop gui for some stuff.
